The Fee (Foundation for Environmental Education) has made the Blue Flags 2020 official, the recognition attributed every year for the quality of the sea and the services offered in coastal centers.
Also this year Campania climbs onto the podium after Liguria and Tuscany reconfirming its bronze with 18 flags. The contribution of the beaches in the province of Salerno to reach this goal is fundamental. In fact, as many as 14 places in Salerno can proudly boast of this title.
This year more than ever the award of blue flags is particularly felt.
“This time – explains Claudio Mazza, President of Fee – we celebrate a particular Blue Flag, even more emblematic of the past few years: it is a symbol of recovery and hope for the seaside sector in our country”.
The wonderful city of Capaccio Paestum has also obtained the Blue Flag award for the following locations this year: Licinella, Varolato, La Laura, Casina D’Amato, Torre di Paestum, Foce Acqua dei Ranci. Capaccio Paestum has been awarded the Blue Flag for six years consecutively.
And on the evening of Thursday 2 July, in the splendid scenery of the Piazzetta Basilica in Paestum, the traditional ceremony of delivery of the Blue Flags to the local bathing establishments was held.
The event was organized in full compliance with the provisions of Covid-19. Mayor Alfieri did not want to give up perpetrating tradition, to pay homage and thank all the bathing establishments in the area that contribute every year to achieve this goal, improving the services and safety offered, the quality of the waters, promoting education and l environmental information.
Also this year Camping Athena was able to receive this important banner. Proud and honored to receive this flag, which represents all our commitment to guarantee quality, safety and crystal clear waters to our guests.
